The City is a misnomer. Its former incarnation was a mere cog in an ancient Elvish kingdom. But the present form serves as the last refuge for civilisation, where every Major Race, and some Lesser, call it home. The City is already more extensive than its predecessor, yet it is not a static structure. Like a living organism, the City grows.

The City sits on the tip of the last continent; where a supernatural blight from the northern Wastelands is a relentless enemy. A massive, semi-circular City Wall is its only protection. The Sea of Clouds to its south, while not an active threat, belies other hazards. Temperamental weather switches from calm to storms in an instant, while lurking beneath the surface is a wide variety of fauna and flora, including the carnivorous and vicious sort. It is a place most Citizens avoid.

The City divides into four districts. Three occupy the mainland: the Pentagon, Ironforge, and Peace Districts. The Pentagon District is in the centre, flanked by the industrial Ironforge District to its west and the Peace District to the east, where almost 60% of the population lives. The Jewel Mountain District is on a small, breakaway island in the south. It is the largest district in the City, separated from the mainland by the Crimson Channel, with the Bridge of Stars as its only connection.
